The Siemens 6ES7422-1FH00-0AA0 SIMATIC S7-400 SM 422 module switches 16 isolated 120/230 V AC digital outputs at 2 A per channel, suitable for contactor coils and motor starters up to NEMA size 5. Each group of 4 channels carries its own 8 A, 250 V quick-response spare fuse, and response time is up to 100 ms. Isolation is tested at 1500 V AC.

Switching 120/230 V AC loads directly, this module suits contactor coils, indicator lamps, and small motor starters rated up to NEMA size 5 without an external relay interface. Each group of 4 channels carries its own 8 A, 250 V quick-response spare fuse, so a single overloaded channel does not necessarily take down the whole module. Response time is up to 100 ms per switching operation – factor that into any application needing fast AC switching. Because outputs are isolated in groups of 4 rather than individually, keep AC loads on the same phase and load-voltage class within one group.
