The BA LC/FC mixes one glass fiber port with one copper FastConnect port on the same BusAdapter, the choice at a station that needs to continue a fiber backbone on one side while dropping a short copper run to the next panel on the other - a single-fiber BA 2xLC does not offer that copper leg. The glass fiber leg reaches up to 3 km, well past the 100 m copper leg, so segment planning should route the longer run over the LC port. Like the other BusAdapters in this family it adds no footprint beyond the interface module it plugs into.
