Running as an IO-Link device rather than a PROFINET/PROFIBUS-addressed module, this variant reports its 16 DIQ channels through a single IO-Link master port instead of taking its own fieldbus station address, which cuts the address budget for stations with many small I/O blocks. Pick the standard 6ES7143-5AH00-0BA0 PROFINET/PROFIBUS variant instead when the station has spare fieldbus addresses and doesn't already run IO-Link masters.
