Selection Notes
The 4 parameterizable DIO channels are what separate this module from a fixed 4DO or 8DO card: each of the 4 can be configured as input or output independently, so one module covers a mixed sensor/actuator station slot without dedicating a second module to a handful of extra inputs. Outputs are split into 2 load groups of up to 2 A each, a limit to check when wiring several 0.5 A loads per group. Because it is suitable for safety-related tripping of standard modules to PL d / SIL 2, a fail-safe CPU can switch a standard actuator through this channel without a dedicated F-DQ module. The connection module IO 6ES7194-4CB50-0AA0 must be ordered separately to complete the backplane slot.
