Selection Notes

The 2.0 A per-channel rating covers small DC motor loads, solenoids, and contactor coils that a 0.5 A output module cannot switch directly, and two channels can be paralleled for redundant control of a single load. Because it is suitable for safety-related tripping of standard modules to PL d / SIL 2, a fail-safe CPU can drive a standard (non-F) actuator through this channel without a dedicated F-DQ module, provided the rest of the safety chain meets the same category. The module still needs its own bus module and I/O connection module, ordered separately, to complete the backplane slot.
