Pick this IO-Link variant over a hard-wired ET 200AL DI module when the connected sensors are IO-Link Port Class A devices: the 2.1 ms minimum cycle time and per-channel diagnostics run over the IO-Link master instead of individual wiring back to the station. The 0.7 A encoder-supply budget is shared across all 8 ports, so tally current-hungry sensors against that limit before wiring a full 8-channel load. IP65/67 sealing and a -30 to +55 degC range keep the module usable bolted directly to the machine, without an enclosure.
