IO-Link Port Class A wiring is what separates this module from the plain non-IO-Link 16-channel/8xM12 variant: it registers on the IO-Link master with its own Vendor ID 42 / Device ID 229380, so its 16 inputs and diagnostics appear as IO-Link process and diagnostic data rather than raw I/O bits alone. Choose it when the station already runs an IO-Link master and centralized IODD-based parameterization or remote diagnostics is wanted for standard digital inputs. The verified data lists no safety-related tripping rating for this module, so it is not a substitute where PLd/SIL2 triggering from a standard module is required.
