Selection Notes
The 4 simultaneously controllable ports (not multiplexed) let this module poll all connected IO-Link sensors and actuators on every ET 200SP cycle without a scan-time penalty, so it fits applications that need real-time feedback from more than one IO-Link device per station. Support for both IO-Link protocol 1.0 and 1.1 means it accepts older field devices as well as current ones on the same module. The 20 m unshielded cable length limit (also applying to shielded cable per the datasheet) should be checked against actual sensor-to-module cable runs before specifying it on a large machine.
