Selection Notes
This AQ 2xI Standard module resolves current outputs to 16 bit including sign on the bipolar -20 to +20 mA range, or 14 to 15 bit on the unipolar ranges, enough for most process control loops without a high-feature module. Load impedance is capped at 500 ohm per channel, so check downstream cable and actuator resistance before wiring. It mounts on BaseUnit type A0 or A1, the same BaseUnits used across the ET 200SP standard I/O family, so it slots into an existing station without a special carrier.
Applications
Typical uses include driving 4-20 mA control valve positioners, VFD speed references, and other current-loop actuators from an ET 200SP remote I/O station on PROFINET or PROFIBUS.
