Selection Notes
The 2-/4-wire designation means this module accepts either passive 2-wire loop-powered transmitters, drawing their supply from the module's 50 mA encoder output, or active 4-wire transmitters with their own supply, drawing from the separate 200 mA encoder output. Both wiring types land on the same 2 channels, so the choice is made per channel at commissioning rather than at ordering. The Sigma-Delta converter trades conversion time for noise rejection: 500 µs per channel with the filter off for fast loops, up to 180 ms at the 16.6 Hz setting for line-frequency-noisy 4-20 mA runs in electrically noisy cabinets. At ±0.3% basic error and ±0.01% linearity error, the module holds enough accuracy for standard process-transmitter feedback (pressure, level, flow) without needing a higher-accuracy analog card.
