Selection Notes
Choose the XPSMCMRO0004DA over the XPSMCMER0004 when the control system needs per-channel diagnostic feedback — its 8 solid-state status outputs report individual relay channel states back to the PLC, which the simpler ER0004 does not provide. It connects via the backplane expansion bus rather than hard-wiring to the OSSD, so it must sit in a slot on the same rail segment as the XPSMCM base unit. The 6 A, 4 NO contact set matches the ER0004 electrically, so the choice between the two comes down to whether the application needs that diagnostic visibility.
