Schneider Electric XPSMCMDO0002 Modicon MCM Safe Output Expansion Module 2 Output Pairs Safety PLC

The Schneider Electric XPSMCMDO0002 is a Modicon MCM safe output expansion module with 2 OSSD safety output pairs, 2 interlock start/restart inputs and 2 diagnostic status outputs, wired through captive screw-clamp terminals at 24 V DC. It connects to an XPSMCM safety controller over the backplane expansion bus to add safety-output capacity and cannot operate stand-alone. Each output pair switches a resistive load up to 400 mA.

Selection Notes

The XPSMCMDO0002 adds 2 OSSD safety output pairs to an XPSMCM controller over the backplane bus, for machines that need more contactor- or drive-enable outputs than the base CPU provides on its own; it expands an existing Modicon MCM safety controller CPU and cannot run stand-alone. Each output pair switches up to 400 mA into a resistive load, matching the controller's own OSSD ratings, so output modules can be mixed with input modules on the same backplane up to the system's 14-module limit.
