The Schneider Electric VW3A3721 is a communication module that adds EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP and MD-Link connectivity to Altivar Process ATV600 and Altivar Process Modular drives. MD-Link lets multiple ATV600 drives share pump or multi-drive commands over the same two-RJ45 daisy-chain network used for Modbus TCP and EtherNet/IP, and the module carries ODVA and Achilles Level 2 certification.

Choose the VW3A3721 over the standard VW3A3720 EtherNet/IP module when the installation cascades several ATV600 drives in a multi-pump or multi-drive arrangement - MD-Link carries the coordination traffic over the same daisy-chained RJ45 network as Modbus TCP and EtherNet/IP, so no separate wiring is needed for the drive-to-drive link.
