The Schneider Electric TMC2TI2 is a Modicon M221 analog input cartridge that adds 2 dedicated temperature inputs at 14-bit resolution, covering thermocouple types J, K, R, S, B, T, N, E and C plus Pt100/Pt1000 and Ni100/Ni1000 RTD probes, to a Modicon M221C logic controller. Sampling duration is 125 ms for thermocouples and 250 ms for temperature probes, with 0.1 degree C LSB resolution.

Selection Notes

Use the TMC2TI2 when the M221C application only needs temperature sensing. A general-purpose current/voltage input cartridge in the same M221 range covers process signals instead, at coarser 12-bit resolution since it is not optimized for temperature measurement.
