The Schneider Electric TM3DI8 is a Modicon TM3 discrete input module that adds 8 sink/source 24V DC inputs to a Modicon M221, M241, M251 or M262 logic controller. Each channel conforms to IEC 61131-2 Type 1, switches in 4 ms, and connects through a removable screw terminal block with 5.08 mm pitch.

The TM3DI8 fits applications that need only a small block of extra 24V DC inputs - 8 channels on IEC 61131-2 Type 1 compatibility, wired through 5.08 mm pitch screw terminals for straightforward field cabling. Its 410-year MTBF at 40 °C is the highest in the TM3 discrete-input lineup because of the lower channel density. Where the machine needs more than 8 points, the 16-input TM3DI16 or 32-input TM3DI32K cover the higher counts.
