The Schneider Electric TM241C40R is a Modicon M241 logic controller with 40 discrete I/O — 24 inputs (8 fast) and a mixed 12-relay/4-transistor (4 fast) output stage — supplied from 100-240 V AC. Relay outputs switch up to 2 A at 5-250 V AC or 5-125 V DC, giving the highest I/O count in the M241 compact range for machines mixing AC field devices with fast-output motion.

The TM241C40R scales the M241's relay/transistor mix to 40 I/O, giving 12 relay outputs (5-250 V AC or 5-125 V DC, up to 2 A) for direct AC-load switching alongside 4 fast transistor outputs for a single positioning axis — pick it over the 24 I/O relay model when the machine has more discrete AC loads (valves, contactors, lamps) than fast-output axes.
