Selection Notes

The TM221M16T's PNP transistor outputs switch fast enough (up to 100 kHz on Q0-Q1 in PTO/PWM/PLS mode) for basic single-axis positioning, which the relay-output Book variant cannot do. Its 0.5 A per-channel rating suits PLC-driven solenoids and 24 V indicator loads rather than line-voltage switching, where the relay-output model is the better fit. The four fast inputs (I0, I1, I6, I7) respond in 5 microseconds, fast enough to catch a high-speed counter pulse or an encoder edge that a standard 35-microsecond input channel would miss.
