Choose the relay-output TM200C40R over a transistor-output M200 sibling when the outputs need to switch mains-voltage loads directly — its 16 relay outputs handle 2 A up to 250 V AC or 30 V DC without an interposing relay. At 40 discrete I/O it is the largest fixed base unit in the M200 range, sharing the 175 mm housing with the 32 I/O variant but adding more regular inputs and outputs for machines with more field devices. Step down to the 16, 24 or 32 I/O siblings where fewer points suffice, or to a 'CE' Ethernet sibling where Modbus TCP/IP connectivity is required.
