The 16-channel, single-wire design on the NTSDDO1602K maximizes output density per DIN-rail slot, suited to high-count indicator or small-relay-coil banks at 500 mA per channel. The 8 A total module rating means all 16 channels can run at rated load simultaneously without exceeding the module's aggregate current limit. For applications needing isolated groups so a field-side short on one group does not affect the rest, the NTSDDO1602XK/XHK (grouped, 2x8 channels) is the better choice despite the wider footprint.
