The Schneider Electric NTSDDO0802XK is a Modicon Edge I/O NTS discrete output module kit with 8 transistor outputs at 24 V DC, 500 mA per channel, pre-assembled on its NTSXBA0200H base. The NTSDDO0802XK supports paralleling two channels for redundant control or doubled current, a useful option when a single 500 mA output is marginal for the load without stepping up to the 2 A-per-channel NTSDDO0802K. It shares its field power with the bus rather than requiring an external supply, simplifying wiring versus the externally-powered 0802K variant at the cost of lower total module current (4 A vs 8 A). Pick the 16-channel NTSDDO1602XK instead when the panel needs double the point density at the same 500 mA-per-channel rating.
