Selection Notes
The METSECT5MC050 pushes the MC body to 500 A primary current, still inside the same 32 mm cable window as the lower-current MC variants. Its 30 kA thermal rating and 2.5x Ith dynamic withstand give it margin on feeders approaching the diameter limit of the window, where the 400 A unit would be under-rated for the fault duty. It is the right pick when the metering point sits just below a 500 A circuit breaker.
