It accepts cables up to 32 mm in diameter or a 40.5 x 10.5 / 32.5 x 20.5 / 25.5 x 25.5 mm bus bar, delivering Class 0.5 accuracy at 8 VA burden or Class 1 at 10 VA.

The METSECT5MC040 is the top-rated unit in the 32 mm MC window, carrying 400 A primary current before the family steps up to the larger-diameter MD type. Its 24 kA thermal current and 2.5x Ith dynamic withstand make it suited to a main sub-feeder rather than a branch circuit. If the installed conductor exceeds 32 mm, the MD050 in the same PowerLogic range is the correct step up rather than forcing this unit onto an oversized cable.
