The Schneider Electric LXM32SD18M2 is a Lexium 32 LXM32S motion servo drive with integrated SERCOS III communication, built for single-phase supply at 100-120 V or 200-240 V with a continuous output current of 6 A at 8 kHz and a nominal power of 1 kW at 230 V. It carries integrated STO safety for single-axis motion on a SERCOS III bus fed from single-phase mains.

Selection Notes

The LXM32SD18M2's SERCOS III interface is integrated rather than card-based, which fixes this drive to SERCOS motion buses and trades away the CANopen/EtherCAT/Profinet flexibility of the LXM32M line - pick it only when the cell's motion controller is already standardized on SERCOS III. Its discrete I/O is narrower too: 2 capture inputs and 3 logic outputs only, with STO as the sole integrated safety function and no eSM card for SS1, SS2, SLS, or SOS. This is the mid-current single-phase LXM32S frame, between the 10 A / 1.6 kW SD30M2 above it and lighter loads that a smaller frame would cover; size it against the axis motor's continuous power near 1 kW. At 6 A continuous / 1 kW nominal on single-phase supply, size this frame the same way as its LXM32M current-rated counterpart, based on the axis motor's continuous power draw.

Applications

Single-axis motion on single-phase-fed machines running a SERCOS III bus - compact packaging or converting equipment where three-phase supply is not available at the axis.
