The Schneider Electric LXM32MD18N4 is a Lexium 32 LXM32M motion servo drive rated for three-phase supply at 200-240 V or 380-480 V, with a continuous output current of 6 A at 8 kHz and a nominal power of 1.8 kW at 400 V. It drives a single axis, integrates STO safety and an EMC filter, and accepts CANopen, EtherCAT, Profinet, and other fieldbus cards for machine network integration.

Selection Notes

The LXM32MD18N4's 2 capture, 2 safety, and 4 logic discrete inputs plus separate eSM safety card unlock SS1, SS2, SLS, and SOS on top of the integrated STO - a machine needing only basic torque removal can skip the eSM card, but a design with category-0/1 stop zones or limited-speed maintenance modes needs it. At 6 A continuous / 1.8 kW, this is the mid-current LXM32M frame: pick the 10 A / 1.6 kW single-phase MD30M2 for smaller 230 V-only machines, or the 24 A / 7 kW MD72N4 where the axis load exceeds 1.8 kW. Because the communication interface is card-based rather than fixed, the same drive body serves CANopen, EtherCAT, or Profinet cells simply by swapping the option card.
