The TM-D trip unit pairs an adjustable thermal overload element (Ir 0.7...1x In, thermal protection adjustment range 224...320 A) with a magnetic trip (5...10x In) in one device, so this CVS400F covers both overload and short-circuit duty without a separate relay - the configuration to pick over the MA (magnetic-only) version of the same frame when no downstream overload device is installed. Its 36 kA Icu at 380/415 V AC sets the fault-current ceiling for this breaking-code-F frame; move to a higher breaking-code letter if prospective fault current exceeds that rating.
