The C40V32D400 is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX400HB1 3-pole moulded case circuit breaker rated 400 A at 40 °C, with a 75 kA breaking capacity (Icu) at 660/690 V AC. It uses the MicroLogic 2.3 trip unit, which provides an adjustable long-time overload stage (Ir 160…400 A), a fixed-delay short-time stage and a fixed instantaneous stage at 4800 A, and is rated for isolation up to 690 V AC.

Pick this variant over the 5.3 E / 6.3 E versions when the board needs straightforward, non-communicating overcurrent protection without metering or zone-selective interlocking. At 75 kA Icu at 660/690 V AC, the HB1 frame targets 690 V applications needing 75 kA at 660/690 V.
