The Schneider Electric C160N42EFM is a 4-pole, 1600 A ComPacT NS1600N moulded case circuit breaker rated for a breaking capacity of 50 kA at 380/415 V AC. It carries a MicroLogic 2.0 E electronic trip unit with long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection and an operational voltage of 690 V AC, suited for fixed, manually-operated distribution boards up to 1600 A.

Selection Notes

The MicroLogic 2.0 E trip unit on the C160N42EFM provides long-time overload (L) and instantaneous short-circuit (I) protection only — there is no short-time delay stage, so this 4-pole, 1600 A breaker suits a terminal or feeder position rather than a selective main incomer. The 'E' suffix extends the display to an energy meter, adding kWh measurement on top of the ammeter function. Step up to the 5.0 (LSI) trip unit in the same NS1600N frame when the installation needs short-time discrimination with downstream devices, or to 6.0 (LSIG) when ground-fault tripping must also be integrated.
