- Description
The Schneider Electric C10F1TM040 is a ComPacT NSX100F molded case circuit breaker built for distribution circuits. Configured as 1P, it is rated for 40 A continuous current with a 18 kA breaking capacity (Icu) at 240 V AC, and carries a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit for overload and short-circuit protection (LI). The breaker also carries a DC rating for 250 V circuits.

Selection Notes
The C10F1TM040 uses a fixed TM-D trip unit on the NSX100F frame (the entry-level breaking-capacity frame in the ComPacT NSX100 line): both the thermal pick-up (1 x In) and the magnetic instantaneous threshold are set at the factory, so there are no adjustments to make or verify on site. That fixed setting suits a final circuit sized directly to the 40 A load it protects. The 18 kA Icu at 240 V AC is the figure to check against the prospective fault current at the installation point before specifying this frame over a higher-breaking-capacity one. It is also rated Yes for isolation duty under EN/IEC 60947-2, so it can serve as the local disconnecting means for the circuit it protects.
