Schneider Electric BMXXBE1000 Modicon M340 Backplane Expander Multirack Module PLC Accessory

The Schneider Electric BMXXBE1000 is a Modicon M340 backplane expander module that links multiple racks together for multirack configurations, connecting via two female SUB-D 9 connectors and backplane extension cables. It draws 160 mA at 24 V DC and 22 mA at 3.3 V DC and carries an IP20 rating for panel, mounting-plate or DIN rail mounting.

Selection Notes

The BMXXBE1000 is required whenever a Modicon M340 application needs more I/O slots than a single backplane provides; it links two backplane racks (BMXXBP0400, BMXXBP0600, BMXXBP0800 or BMXXBP1200) into one multirack system. Choose the backplane extension cable length and optional extender kit based on the physical distance and cabling needs between the linked racks, since the expander itself only provides the connector interface and LED diagnostics.
