BMXP3420302 replaces the RS232/RS485 serial ports of the base processor variant with an integrated CANopen master, making it the choice when the application needs independent-axis motion control or distributed CANopen I/O instead of legacy serial Modbus devices. Its CANopen bus supports up to 63 slave devices at transmission rates from 20 kbit/s to 1 Mbit/s depending on cable length, so network size and distance should be checked against the same 1024/256 I/O and 4-rack ceiling shared with the rest of the M340 processor family.
