The BMXDDM16025 combines 8 24 V DC inputs with 8 relay outputs on one module, useful where a rack has only one free slot left for both sensing and switching on a small machine section. Its relay outputs switch up to 264 V AC or 125 V DC at 2 A per channel — a wider voltage range than a solid-state triac or transistor output module, at the cost of a slower ~10 ms switching time and finite relay contact life at 1 Hz duty. Use a dedicated 16-channel input or output module instead when the application needs more than 8 points of either type, since this module's count is fixed at 8 and 8.
