- Description
The Schneider Electric BMXDAI1604 is a Modicon X80 discrete input module with 16 isolated inputs rated 100-120 V AC, conforming to IEC 60947-5-2 and IEC 61131-2 Type 3. Each input draws 5 mA at 100-120 V AC, switches state within 10 ms on activation and 20 ms on deactivation, and dissipates 3.8 W across the module.

Selection Notes
The BMXDAI1604 reads 16 isolated 100-120 V AC inputs, twice the density of the 8-input 200-240 V AC variant, for panels wired on the lower US/Japan line-voltage band instead of 200-240 V. Its 0.5 A fast-blow external fuse per channel group protects the module from a shorted field wire without taking the whole input bank down. Pick the 200-240 V AC variant instead when the field devices are wired to the higher voltage band — the two are not interchangeable on the same input circuit.
