The BMXDAI0805 reads 8 isolated 200-240 V AC field inputs with 1500 V channel-to-channel isolation, so a fault on one sensing circuit does not propagate to adjacent channels or the backplane. Its 10 ms activation / 20 ms deactivation response time suits standard discrete sensing — limit switches, float switches, selector contacts — rather than high-speed pulse counting, which belongs on a dedicated counter module. Use the higher-density 16-input AC variant in the range instead when the panel needs more 200-240 V AC points per slot.
