- Description
The Schneider Electric BMXCPS3020 is a Modicon X80 power supply module that converts an isolated 24-48 V DC primary supply into the secondary rails a Modicon M340 or M580 rack needs to run. It delivers 31.2 W on the 24 V DC I/O-and-processor rail and 15 W on the 3.3 V DC I/O logic rail, with a maximum power dissipation of 8.5 W.

Selection Notes
The BMXCPS3020 accepts a wider 24-48 V DC isolated input than the fixed-24 V DC variant in the range, so it fits control supplies that run at 48 V DC or sag across that band; its 31.2 W I/O-and-processor rail is roughly double the fixed-24 V variant's rating, covering larger discrete and analog I/O counts on the same rack. At 48 V the inrush current doubles to 60 A versus 30 A at 24 V, a detail worth checking against the upstream DC supply's current-limiting setting. Keep the power supply cable run within 10 m at 1.5 mm² (or 15 m at 2.5 mm²) — shorter than the fixed-24 V variant's allowance because of the higher secondary current.
