Pick the BMXAMI0800 when 8 analog input channels fit in one slot and channel-to-channel isolation is not required — without isolation circuitry the module reaches a higher 1,700,000-hour MTBF and a faster 9 ms read cycle across all 8 channels than an isolated 8-input card manages. Where inputs share a common low-noise power rail, the non-isolated design is the simpler choice over an isolated variant. Each of the 8 channels is individually configurable for current or voltage, so a mixed field population of 4-20mA transmitters and 0-10V sensors can be wired to one module without splitting them across separate cards. The 28-way connector terminates all 8 channels on a single cable, which keeps wiring compact on racks with several analog input modules installed side by side.
