Selection Notes

Choose the BMEXBP0400 when a local M580 or M340 rack only needs 4 I/O slots — its dual Ethernet and X-bus backplane accepts the same I/O, power-supply, and processor modules as the larger rack in the range, so module part numbers stay the same when scaling up later. At 118 mA the rack's own 24 V DC draw is lower than the 8-slot rack's, a detail worth checking when sizing the BMXCPS power-supply budget for a fully populated 4-slot station.
