The ATV610D37N4 runs two duty ratings on the same frame: Normal Duty at 37 kW / 74.5 A continuous with a 110% transient overload for 60 s, or Heavy Duty at 30 kW / 59.6 A continuous with a 150% overload for 60 s. Pick Normal Duty for centrifugal loads such as fans, pumps and compressors, where torque demand stays flat and the higher continuous rating covers the motor's full nameplate power. Pick Heavy Duty for conveyors and other constant-torque or shock-loaded applications, where the lower continuous current trades headroom for the larger short-time overload margin.
