The Schneider Electric ATV610C31N4 is an Easy Altivar 610 variable frequency drive rated for 315 kW motor power in normal duty (250 kW heavy duty) on a 380-460 V three-phase supply. It delivers 616 A continuous output current at 2.5 kHz switching frequency and mounts in a cabinet enclosure at IP00. The drive controls asynchronous motors on fans, pumps, compressors and conveyors.

Selection Notes

Selection between normal duty and heavy duty ratings depends on load torque profile: choose the 315 kW/616 A normal duty rating for variable-torque loads like fans and centrifugal pumps, where torque demand tapers with speed, or size to the 250 kW/481 A heavy duty rating for constant-torque loads such as compressors and conveyors that need more torque margin during acceleration. At IP00, the drive is built for mounting inside a ventilated cabinet rather than as a stand-alone enclosure, so plan for panel-level ingress protection and forced-air cooling in the panel design. The integrated Category C3 EMC filter (IEC 61800-3) covers motor cable runs up to 50 m without an external filter, and the 50 kA prospective line short-circuit rating sets the minimum upstream protection needed ahead of the drive.
