- Description
The Schneider Electric VCDN20 is a 3-pole TeSys Mini-VARIO switch-disconnector rated 20 A, built from a VZ20 switch body with a padlockable red handle on a yellow front plate for emergency-stop switching up to 5.5 kW at 400 V AC-23. It mounts through a single 22.5 mm door hole and carries IP65 protection once installed.

Selection Notes
The VCDN20 uses the same VZ20 switch body and current rating as the VBDN20, but the red-on-yellow handle marks it for emergency-stop duty per IEC 60204-1 colour coding. Choose it over the VCDN12 once the motor exceeds 4 kW at 400 V. Up to two add-on poles can be fitted either side of the body — main (VZN12), neutral (VZN11), earthing (VZN14) or auxiliary contacts (VZN05, VZN06).
Data note: the breaking capacity row is published on se.com as 200 A at 400 V; this is carried through verbatim, though it is inconsistent with the 0.5 kA Icm rating for the same device, suggesting a possible source unit typo (A vs kA).
