- Description
The Schneider Electric LC1DPKM7 is a 3-pole TeSys Deca capacitor-duty contactor rated 30 kvar at 400 V (50 kvar at 690 V) for switching three-phase power-factor-correction capacitor banks. It runs on a 220 V AC 50/60 Hz coil, includes 1 NO + 2 NC instantaneous auxiliary contacts with front-mounted early-make poles and pre-wired damping resistors, and mounts on a 55 mm wide DIN rail or plate.

Selection Notes
Pre-wired damping resistors on the early-make poles limit inrush current when switching capacitor banks — a feature a plain LC1D motor contactor lacks, so it should not be substituted for power-factor-correction duty. The 100 cyc/h operating-rate ceiling is set by the damping-resistor thermal limit rather than contact life, which bounds how often an automatic PFC regulator can step this stage. Choose a higher-kvar variant in the same family if the capacitor bank step exceeds 30 kvar at 400 V.
