- Description
The Schneider Electric LC1D38ED is a TeSys Deca 3-pole (3NO) contactor rated 38 A AC-3 at up to 440 V, sized for 18.5 kW motors at 400 V. Its 48 V DC coil includes a built-in transient suppressor module, removing the need for an external freewheeling diode, and 1NO+1NC mirror-certified auxiliary contacts are standard for status feedback.

Selection Notes
The built-in suppressor on the LC1D38ED coil protects adjacent PLC output stages from the inductive kickback a 48 V DC coil generates on de-energisation, without adding an external diode. At 38 A AC-3 it switches 18.5 kW at 400 V, and the 101 mm depth is slightly greater than the AC-coil D7 siblings to accommodate the suppressor module. For 48 V DC coils at other currents, the 12 A and 95 A ED variants share the same technology.
