At 75 x 75 x 41 mm the RF260R is a larger cuboid body than the smaller 50 x 50 x 30 mm cuboid variant in this family, with the same 24 V DC supply and RS422 (3964R) interface but more integrated antenna area for a longer read range. Choose it over the smaller cuboid variant when the tag standoff distance exceeds what that reader can reliably cover, and keep the smaller variant where panel space is tight. Both share the same SIMATIC communication module wiring, so swapping between the two does not change the control-side interface.
