The Siemens 6GT2002-0JE50 RF186CI is an RFID communication module that connects 2 RF200/300/1000 or MV300/400/500 readers to PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, or OPC UA over Industrial Ethernet at 100 Mbit/s and 8 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs (M12, A-coded, IO-Link expansion). It also provides an RS422/RS232 point-to-point serial link at up to 921.6 kbit/s per reader channel and carries IP67 protection for direct field mounting close to the read points and local I/O.

The built-in 8 DI/8 DO set (expandable through IO-Link modules such as 6ES714x-5xx00-0BL0) lets the RF186CI drive a stop gate, indicator lamp, or reject actuator directly from the RFID node, without routing that logic back through a separate PLC I/O module. Choose it over the plain RF186C whenever the two reader positions need local, low-latency I/O; if no digital I/O is needed, the RF186C covers the same two reader ports for less wiring.
