- Description
The Siemens 6EP1961-2BA21 SITOP PSE200U is a 4-channel selectivity module that splits a 24 V DC, 40 A input into four individually protected 10 A outputs with a current threshold adjustable from 3 to 10 A per channel. A common signaling contact reports overload status, and each channel switches off within about 5 seconds of exceeding its set threshold.

Selection Notes
The 3-10 A per-channel threshold, set individually by potentiometer, lets each of the four branch circuits trip before a fault pulls down the shared 24 V bus - choose the DIP-switch load-optimized sequential switch-on mode when downstream loads have high inrush current, such as several PLC power supplies powering up together, rather than the simultaneous mode. The 99% efficiency and 10 W typical power loss keep cabinet heat load low even with all four channels near their 10 A rating. The common signal contact wires a single alarm back to the PLC instead of monitoring four channels individually.
Applications
Selective load distribution downstream of a single 24 V DC power supply, separating PLC, HMI, I/O, and sensor or actuator branch circuits so a short on one branch does not take down the whole 24 V bus.
