Selection Notes
The 6EP3436-8MB00-2CY0 is the 4x5 A PROFINET variant of the PSU8600 family, built for machines where several 24 V DC circuits (sensors, I/O groups, valve banks) need to be monitored and reset independently rather than sharing a single output. Each output can be paired via DIP switch (1 with 2, or 3 with 4) when a section needs more than 5 A, up to the 480 W system ceiling. The integrated web server and OPC UA server expose per-output voltage, current, and fault status over the same PROFINET connection used for control traffic, removing the need for separate analog wiring back to the PLC for power monitoring. For a single higher-current 24 V rail instead of four independent ones, the 8SB00 single-output PSU8600 variant in the same family is the better fit; for double the per-output current, the 4x10 A 8437 model steps up within the same footprint class.
