Selection Notes

The changeover (SPDT) relay contacts switch AC or DC loads directly from the CPU without an external interposing relay, but short-circuit protection is not built in, so size external fusing or a circuit breaker to the 2 A rated current per channel. Relay life is rated at 10 million mechanical cycles but drops to 100000 at rated load current, so for high-cycle switching duty a solid-state output module is the better fit; choose this relay variant when the load is AC, mixed AC/DC, or exceeds the voltage range of transistor outputs.
