Selection Notes

HART pass-through lets this module read transmitter diagnostics and secondary variables over the 4-20 mA loop, so pick it over a plain fail-safe current input when HART device configuration or asset data is needed from the field. The SIL 3 / PLe / Category 4 rating means the fail-safe logic can sit directly in this I/O module rather than requiring a separate safety PLC downstream. Its Ex ib (ia Ga) IIC T4 Gb marking covers Zone 1 gas areas via the associated-apparatus concept, so 2-wire HART transmitters can be wired directly into the hazardous zone.
