The Schneider Electric BMXDRA1605 is a Modicon X80 discrete output module with 16 normally-open relay outputs rated 24-240 V AC and 24-48 V DC, switching in positive logic. Each output responds within 8 ms on activation and 10 ms on deactivation, with a minimum switching current of 1 mA at 5 V DC and an MTBF of 2,100,000 hours.

Selection Notes

The BMXDRA1605 switches 16 independent normally-open relay contacts rated across 24-240 V AC or 24-48 V DC, so the same module wires to AC pilot devices, DC solenoids, or small motor contactor coils without a separate driver stage. Its 8 ms activation / 10 ms deactivation response is typical relay speed — slower than a triac output module but able to switch DC loads, which triac outputs cannot. The 2,100,000 hour MTBF reflects the electronic driving circuit only; relay contact life still depends on the switched load current and duty cycle in the application.
