The 2-port PROFINET switch plus an independent third port support a linear or ring topology with media redundancy (MRP) without an external switch, so pick this panel over a single-port HMI when it sits mid-line on a PROFINET ring. IP65 front sealing with NEMA 4x/12 certification supports washdown-area mounting without an additional protective enclosure. Configuration requires WinCC Unified Comfort Engineering V16 or later in TIA Portal - it is not programmable in the classic WinCC Comfort/Advanced engineering environment used for older Comfort Panels.
