Selection Notes

The 2500 S/R TTL incremental encoder is not absolute, so position reference is lost on power-down and the axis needs a homing cycle at startup - an absolute-encoder variant is the pick if the application must reference without homing. This motor has no holding brake, so it will not hold position when de-energized; for vertical or overhauling loads, a brake-equipped variant of the same frame is the safer choice. IP65 with a sealing ring suits washdown or dusty environments without an added enclosure.

Applications

Closed-loop positioning axes with SINAMICS V70 or V90 servo drives, horizontal machine axes that don't require brake-hold on power-off, and washdown-rated or dust-exposed servo applications.
